“Kooky at the Comedy Club” Lambe-Lambe (2025)

Our second attempt at Brazilian puppet style, Lambe-Lambe, will be based around the kookaburra character “Kooky”, created by Katherine Orozco-Verderber. The play will come in two forms; one kid-friendly version for a premiere at the Texas State Museum of Asian Cultures at a future date, and an adult version to be shopped around online puppet slams world-wide.

The play focuses on a joke-telling kookaburra bird who struggles to find friends due to his loud cackling voice. Will he ever find someone that he can be friends with?
