So, Zero Untitled has dedicated all of March to “March Music Month” to allow our talent individuals to work on all of those music projects we just don’t have time for. So, now, there is no excuse! Robert and Andrea are working on piano music, Michael is working on some score and a metal song, Zeta and Julio are working on some hip hop tracks, a new musical is in development, and long-time collaborator, DJ Oringe, is developing some new music as well. Plenty is going on so here are some pics from last night’s rehearsal.
Here are some pics of just a few of the works in development.
UPDATE: Here is the newly released song “Pummel” by DJ Oringe! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2dR1oRItfo
Octavio Quintanilla, poet of several of ZU’s poetry videos, was recently named San Antonio, Texas’s Poet Laureate! Congratulations to him on this FANTASTIC award!
See his videos here on one of our YouTube pages. You can watch “Message”, “Mal de Ojo”, and “Cafe Triste”! https://www.youtube.com/user/ZeroUntitledFilm/videos

A first draft of our forthcoming anthology of plays and poetry is coming soon from Local Gems Press! The book, called “Zero Untitled // Hybrid Theatre // 2007 -2013” is on the hands of the editor and should be released in the next few months.
Some of the plays and poems include BROKEN WHEELS, THESE LAST WORDS, REGRETS OF IDIOCY, and many more! The book will be a collection of earlier short comedies, dramas, and poetic hybrids from our earlier years. More information and a release date will be coming soon.
Our recent related publication, Rising Rains, is still available for purchase.
Below is the complete listing of plays, poems, and hybrids that will be released in the book. This is subject to some change:
Classically-trained actor Tim Mooney conducted an acting workshop and did two performances of two of his one-man shows. In the Blue Room, in collaboration with ZU, he staged a preview performance of “Criteria” and at the Little Theatre, in collaboration with TAMUK’s French Club, he performed “Moliere Than Thou.” He also conducted an acting workshop on March 5. Here are some pictures from the events. Members of Zero Untitled capitalized on his presence by attending his events, participating in his work, or running his tech.

While other projects are in their development stage, an older project is getting wrapped up. Shakespeare’s Sonnet 50, “How Heavy Do I Journey On The Way” is in post-production with music and score being finalized by Robert Trujillo.
This production is a prologue for the larger work, “Fortune Cycle”, a video adaptation of several of Shakespeare’s sonnets that tie together to create one out-of-order story. The last two cycles, have already been released.
Late last night, members of ZU were running and driving about town in an attempt at a beta test for the next immersive theatre piece, called “The Hunt of the Scarecrows”. The skeletal script, which is more like stage directions at the moment, is being developed by Michael Verderber and will have additional scenes written by Katherine Orozco-Verderber.
The theme this year is an immersive spy game set in Emerald City, the gritty world established in “Nightmare of Oz.” More to come soon!
Here is a post-run discussion picture where we outlined the timing issues and segments that need further development. It ran quite late into the night.
Designed by Talor Appel, here is the official flyer for the upcoming production.
Winning plays will be announced soon!
For the Texas production, the following plays will be produced:
“X-treme X-Mas Boot Camp” by Peter Dakutis
“The New Guy” by John O’Hara
“The Light” by Mark Harvey Levine
“Regifting” by Steven Korbar
The Zero Untitled – NYC team have not made a concrete decision on their selections, but that will be posted VERY soon!
